I have b-1 studio condenser mic, behringer sound mixer with phantom and stupid headphones nothing fancy. I've been trying to record music for a long time as i get busy with my daily life i tend to forget most of the mixing techniques. I need help I use cool edit pro 2 and I do rnb and rap My rap usually sounds better but I'm not a bad singer either or atleast thats how i like to think. I'm facing difficulty with recording overdubs do you guys use duplicate clips and then mixdown? or do you actually record separate layers? when i record overdubs it sounds like two voices and doesn't sound that good. I need advise please help me as I have great concepts and writing skills but i just suck at mixing atm. Any reply would be highly appreciated.!
