I'm talking about those sad ass trolls, losers, racists who think they are big in writting shit from behind the computer screen.

I think i take criticism really seriously because once I see a hate comment I take it too personally and it just sticks there in my mind. Especially when they spam around your facebook/myspace/youtube page and you have a pain in the ass to delete dozens of spammed comments.
Worse which has happened to me is when they taunt you in real life - only in one ocassion

I was wondering if i can have any advice on how i can deal with these scumbags of the earth and how ya'll deal with them.

Are you specifically talking about people making comments about music/creations you posted online?

Or are you just mad at the current state of the internet? Because taunting in real life is a bit different...

cancel your internet connection :)
This isn't as daft as it appears at first glance. The unfortunate reality is that once an artistic creation or even a bland post goes public, you have no control over what happens to it. And I don't just mean the internet.

Get used to hurt and pain or learn to ignore. Both work for me.

Do you need others comments to validate who you are?

Ignore 'em!

Some people have to have the "last say" so move on and let them be frustrated....

Best wishes,

Lloyd

+1

When you get to be my age, you realize that:

(a) 99% of all opinions are equally worthless, and

(b) habitual naysayers and others who try to dissuade you from pursuing your goals are not worth talking to.

Then you simply quit hearing them. ;)

Some negative comments can actually help an artist improve...On the other hand there are some really ignorant and rude people on the internet as well...Just ignore those A holes and keep doing what you like to do.

You will eventually get a thicker skin for the negative stuff being said.

---------------

There are idiots everywhere...Some of the biggest A holes I met have been through playing online poker...Poker is similar in a way to negative comments about music...you can learn not to "TILT" and have control over your emotions...lots of trash talk in poker as well so that helps grow a thicker skin too.

So my advice is to start playing poker if you have not already and grow a thicker skin...lol.

here's how u deal with haters.
make em eat shit and die!
how do u do that?
keep your status on their mind, in their mouth . .the more they talk about u. . the more publicity u got . . just learn how to USE that publicity so folk understand u r GOOD n they are hatin . .
now a cockblocka? thats who u really wanna avoid!

Right between the eyes POW! No wait ..... use a hand grenade instead.

As you can see that will just lead to trouble. Take Diggys advice and just let it roll off your back and you'll be the better person for it and they will be found the poo poo head.
I know doesn't feel as good but these things have a way of working them self out if you just be cool. ;)

Not everyone is going to like what you do, and some are going to be quite vocal about it. Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one and a lot of people like to vent them in public. If you get hung up on every negative comment you receive, you'll only be lending credence to what they have to say. None of it matters if you just focus on the good stuff.

This is a very serious issue that I hold very near to my heart.

Shut up .... I mean please sit down and please be quiet Steve :D

Yeah I know what you mean. Some times you work your arse off on a project and a person comes along and ... and, It gets me mad also.
Your work is your blood and sweet and to have someone troll it is a shame. But I bet for every negative comment you got you also got a hundred "great job" comments. It just comes with the territory.

It's like how I feel in traffic sometimes ~ if only it was required to have your cell number posted on the back of your car.

WERD. They'll be eating their hearts out when the cream rises to the top while they stay on the ground floor.

Abe Lincoln once said, "You can't please all the people all the time, and the others can go fuck themselves."

... or something like that.

I'd like the OP to define "haters". Some people will use the "hater" card as soon as someone criticizes thier music. That' not hating...sometimes it's just called "honesty".

The most helpful shit I've read about my music has come from strangers who heard a lot of shit they'd do differently or plain told me what they think sucks about my music.

Use it in your favor and try to listen to your stuff objectively. You'll usually find, regardless of their tone and the hurt to your ego, that they're usually on to something.

I'd also like the OP to define "racist". I've seen rappers come here and start calling people racist just because they were told their music is shit.
