i was recently putting on a vocal track when i saw a Vocoder option for CEP 2.0. any idea on how to use this?

The Vocoder only works if you provide both the carrier signal (synth line, strings..the 'machine' part) and the modulator (your voice).

Most hardware vocoders, and the recent wave of VST plugins allow you to just add your voice (or drumtrack, what have you) to a supplied synthesizer, which gives you an instant robot, angel, slurred speech effect.

Just type in Vocoder in the help menu, and it'll show you all the steps needed.

tricky stuff

if it's any thing hyperpisms vocoder, one of the options is to open a wave editor and put your vocals on one channel and the synth on the other channel, like the post said up above, you need a carrier and a modulator. one channel will be your carrier and the other will be your modulator. it doesn't work for real time recording. i guess it's because it direct x and not vst
