How do I use synth modules with my keyboard.

I've been seeing lots of synth modules and I dont even know how to use them. But some how I came to the conclusion that you should be able to hook them up to a keyboard and the play it through the keys am I right or wrong? And if I'm right how do you go about doing this?

If you have a keyboard with midi out and midi in then simply hook your keyboard midi out to the midi in of the module. Play the keyboard and you should here the synth play. Some keyboards, however, require you to make some midi menu adjustments in order to play the different midi channels on the synth. Your keyboard manual will surely have instructions. Hope this helps.
