King of Bling
Okay, I'm in the process of switching some computers out, and installing new soundcards. I'm trying to ditch some drivers from an old Soundblaster card (128).

I don't know a driver from a sandwedge...can somebody walk me through it, or at least link me to something useful?

(windows ME)

Thanks in advance for not flaming me, lol.

Chris

You should just have to go into control panel Add/Remove Programs and highlight you SB drivers, click remove and that should be it. Hope this helps.

Actually, I don't know about ME, but we'll give it a whirl. In the control panel there should be something about audio/sound devices. Then select from the list of devices the card you're messing with. Then there should be either a "drivers" or "properties" tab. Or "advanced". Eventually you'll find a box giving you options of what to do with the driver for said soundblaster.

Killroy may be correct but I've always gone to Control Panel - Device Manager. Then selected the sound card and clicked REMOVE.

I've never used Win ME though.

Or...

you could gently place the card in a corner, then pee on it.

lol...thanks guys. I decided to just say fuck it and upgrade to XP...

...it's been really nice knowing all of you through this internet medium that I'm about to lose forever...

adieu',
Chris
