Whats up everyone?...I have a roland vs 880ex, ensoniq zr-76 and Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 and I would like to record vocals by going through the vs 880 into cakewalk.....How do I configure, connect, control and all that good stuff with this equipment??? What do I need in order to make this possible? How do I connect and what type of settings must everything be on...Could someone please explain this in as much detail as possible for me...THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Get an optical card for Cakewalk. VS to Cakewalk settings are in the VS manual.

"record vocals by going through the vs 880 into cakewalk"
Unless someone knows something I dont (which is almost everybody)
You cant just record "Through" It has to be recorded to the 880 then played back through the spdif to a spdif cabable soundcard on your computer into cakewalk. I have the original 880 which has the Rca type spdif. If the 880ex is Optical then you need an optical spdif card.
You would then Sync the 880 to cakewalk. Its in your manual.

If someone else knows how to go "through" the 880 let me know!
