I was just wondering... the Mackie SDR2496 Hard Disc recorder seems to be a very nice unit for the price. I was just wondering though how on Earth someone gets a signal into it without buying something like a d8b mixer as a front end. The Analog ins and outs on the back pannel are all those multi-pin TDIF looking ports. I do not know of a single sound source or analog mixer that has those types of outs or ins. Have I just lost the plot or what? If I had JUST the Mackie SDR2496 and a guitar... how on Earth would I plug the guitar into the SDR2496?

Thanks guys...

If you have a mixer or preamp of any kind it's just a matter of building a custom cable. It's not too hard. D-subs are fairly easy to make, buy the crimper housings and pins and youre set. If you need some housings drop me a line. I've got a million parts in bags.
