How Can You Tell The Age Of A Slingerland Snare Drum?

I have an old 5.5" x 14" 10 lug Slingerland snare drum that I want to sell. I've seen similar drums on e-bay go for $100.00. It has the old oval logo and says "Slingerland Quality Drums Niles, Illinois U.S.A." and has serial number 87072. Your help would be appreciated!

:)

Wow

Ten lug wow!I thought that only marching drums had that many. :)
I don't know but I do know someone that does.
I'll ask him later when he get's off of work.

i don't know offhand, but if the badge is gold/copper and black, it's from the 60's or so, and if it's silver/black, then it's the 70's.

actually, it's a little bit more complicated than that -- why not go to www.drumcenterforum.com and ask there? they're nuts, they know that stuff inside and out.
