How can I tell if I am at line level???

Yes another rookie question...How can I tell when my mic is at line level after its run thru the preamp???

Just by listening or can you visually see it on your computer screen when recording or what...Cause I honestly can't tell the difference by just listening to it....

If you can hear your mic at all, then chances are you are at line level. If you can hear it well and your levels are good for recording purposes, then you are at a good line level.
