i have a pair of active monitors, a audiophile 192 card a pre amp and a mic, how do i hook it up and get ready to record vocals, thanks for helpin the nub
Microphone into the mic cable then mic cable into preamp input.
Cable (with proper type end plugs) from preamp out to sound card input.
You CAN plug your sound card outs directly to your speakers, but you are not going to be able to monitor on them while recording into a live mic because you will get a lot of bleed and possibly a lot of feedback.
Do you have anything you can use as a headphone monitor like an old stereo receiver with a headphone out?
