Hello,
Me and my friends want to organise a poor karaoke party.
I just bought a karaoke mic which is mono.. when I plug in the mic in the PC jack and turn up the Mic Volume I can hear myself from the left speaker.. but not from the right. Only the 1 CH is used. I want both Channels to be used when I talk to the microphone.. How can I Achieve this?

Thanks

Use a splitter and run the signal to both speakers.

can u send me an image of this splitter? and explain more pls..
thank you

They probably sell Y-cables or adapters at Radio Shack that could do that.

Try taking the mic there and explain to them what you're doing. :)

This is Going to be pretty hard with what you got .... The problem is your PC Mic input is Just a single mono channel , One signal in , One signal out ..... what you need is a small Mixer and Plug the Mic into that then take the left and right output from the Mixer and Plug them into the "Line Input" on your PC , then one the Mixer pan the Mic channel to the center , now you will have audio out both speakers ....

Cheers

Note: There is one cable for my 2 speakers. If I buy a Y-cable or a splitter, how can I achieve this? There would be one cable only, and the other output will be empty.
Oh, and forget about radio shack. I live in Greece.. :P

What kind of mixer? A mini mixer? Can you send me a picture of what mixer should I use? Also, It would be helpful if you drew an simple image in mspaint, how can I connect the mic with the mixer and the mixer with the pc.

Thank all of you guys

Like this, for example? :

Yes , something like that will work fine , You plug the mic into the Mic input , set the Pan on that channel to center , Then with a set of RCA Cables take the left and right outputs and connect it to one of the Stereo RCA to Mini TRS adapters then Plug the RCA to Mini TRS into the "Line in" on your PC , Not the Mic input .....

Cheers

This is a pic of the adapter you need ...
