How can i extend notes out, using low freq, to create some harmonic ambience?

I don't know if i explain myself right.

anyway... i'm looking for a way to archive that of type of effect produced by feedbacks.

thanks in advance

Huh? Could you provide an example of the sound you want, or link to a clip so we can hear it?

For ambience (like sustained notes/orchestral sounds) I like some synth pads and/or a guitar played with an ebow. However, I don't know if that's what you're talking about.

i want to extend the bass responses, the notes, to excite the harmonics.

i don't have any sample. i don't know how to do it. :)

Is this for hip hop? Then i would understand.

Maybe Waves MaxxBass?
I tried maxxbass. Works great sometimes, but i always can hear the rest of the characters of the sound.

I want to get the pure low frequencies, the pure bass responses.

NO. this is to add some character to an acustic guitar in the background.

to make it feel, like it have some orchesta, strings, cello, you get the idea right ?
just to add a little ambience.

I'm a white guy by the way :D

Reverb and delay would do the job. That's what i use to leave an effect to my stringed instruments.

Yeah reverb. If you have a reverb with an EQ built into it then you can boost the lo end maybe and use max bass plug-in before it.
Not really totally sure .

IR reverb anyone? You could make the impulse a cello playing a low note, and use that as a reverb to extend the low end maybe. But then your reverb would sound like the cello, and I don't know if that's what you want

Sounds like a good idea. Interesting. Make sense.
I don't have any experience creating impulses, but i'll see what i can do.

any other thoughts?

Then why not have a string orchestra? Or samples of a string orghestra? Or synth strings, just running in the background, maybe drenched in reverb, but mixed in low? Sometimes the obvious is the right answer ;)

What about compression with a slow release?
Sorry if I'm off the mark, just a thought that occured to me.

send the signal to an fx send with a lowpass filter and position the cuttoff so that only the lows are left, then after the lowpass add a reverb, and adjust the decay time for how long you want to notes to ring out after they have stopped.

I take back my last post. This request doesn't make sense. Make an acoustic guitar sound like an orchestral instrument??

that's not what i said. I'm going to shoot my self in face, seriously.

you're totally missing the point. I'm trying to extend notes a little bit, that's all.

it's ok boys. he's white. we can tell him how to do it. he won't use it for rap. :D

i really have no clue what the hell you're babbling about............acoustic feedbacking bassy symphonated harmonic generator.............shooting in my face..........archived for future generations............
