i have shure ksm27 and bluetube preamp. i want to bring warmth to my tracks. also i use aa....... i got another question u know in windows how u can control the volume of like line in. do u guys turn that all the way up?

here my link http://www.soundclick.com/bands/1/antman24music.htm the first to tracks are my latest(1.40sec togather), if u wanna hear my quality to further assist me. thx

Sounds pretty good to me. I usually have my line turned all the way up and control my levels by my mixer. I aim for a peak of around -3.

I actually pull thw windows mic "in" setting down a tad, but select the "boost"

box...

You shouldn't do that, or need to do that. It simply adds distortion to the incoming signal by boosting the freqencies above where they are.

Leave the signal alone, boost by pre-amp or adjust the overall volume in your mixer after it's recorded. Do not use the Mic line boost.

Besides, mic line boost only works on the lousy Soundcard that comes with your PC. If you're serious about recording, you'd invest in a good Prosumer Audio card to record with.
