How Bout A Jump Drive?

I would think that wouldn't be very cost effective. CD-Rs can be had for 5-10 cents. The cheapest jump drives I've seen are around $10 or so.... Maybe if you buy them in bulk?
Or are you saying print your band's name on them and give them away much like other branded stuff (T-Shirts, Coozies,pens,etc...)

Interesting idea though...

Anyone Using Jumpdrives To Sell Or Give Away Music?

I think you'd actually be better off utilizing CDs. The reason is that you're limited as to where you can use a jumpdrive. If you give out a CD, you can play it on your computer, in your stereo, in your car, or whereever there's a CD player. With a jumpdrive, you'd need a computer or some electronic device that supports jumpdrives.

Good point on where you can use the jump drive. I don't think my Toyota has a USB port....It does have a CD player though :)

lol my Acura does, only cause i installed a JVC radio. It has 1 USB port & 1 SD reader port. There's actually quite a few CD/MP3 players that are now including a USB port.

I wouldn't suggest it for a home studio. I thought some people were already selling SD cards or jump drives in stores as an alternative to CDs, but I guess they could get a discount if they were buying thousands of jump drives.
