How are two DA-38's synced up.

Do you need the MMC-### unit to do this or can they sync directly.

I know the DA-88 can have a sync card installed internally but is that for video sync or locking two units together.

I may have the opportunity to pick up 2 DA-38's for a deal but of course would want to sync them up.

Yes you can sync to DA38's together.

get a Tascam PW88S cable
connect to remote sync out from master deck to remote sync in on the slave deck, then you will need a tascam termination plug hooked into the remote sync out on the slave deck because the last unit in the chain must always be setup with the termination plug (It will probably have the plug when you get the deck).
Then set the master decks ID to 1, and slave decks ID to 2
You should be off and running.
