Rondo music has a 5 pack of 20' cables for $40. I could always use more cables, but I expect these ones may be cheap and crappy?

Has anyone used these before? Are they any good? Should I just suck it up and buy some Monster cables already?

no need to go the monster route unles you have money to burn... dont know those other cables though so cant comment.... i'ld check out redco.com if i were you...

Don't worry about cables unless your mics and room and instruments and converters and pres can't be improved.

ProCo is just fine.

get the regular ones....and go to GC and grab a $150 cable....run your own test using your eyes and ears....

and you can take the $150 one back the next day.
:D

Make your own cables.

I make my own cables using Neutrik connectors and VTG audio cable.

Make them in 1 / 2 / 3 / 5 / 10 /15 /20 / 25 foot long. the short ones are great when you mic a drum set with a snake keeps the worm pile to a minimum and can be used for inter connects as well.

Also make turn around cables as well M or F XLR to 1/4 inch balanced as well.

You can get the cable in multi pair formats as well so you can make up your own snakes if you wish as well.
