Sounds like a good idea, I'm game.....I would definately like to work on some different material and see what people come up with:)
 
ILL provide the song, ill track it clean and dry. PM,or better yet Email me if youre serious.
How many applicants should we have?
 
unlimited aplicants, if you want a pop you download and mix and upload to your own space for critiqe (sp?)

I suggest a maximum of 24Bit/48Khz and 24 tracks to save on server stress. Something with acoustic drums cause a lot of people here only get to work with loops/samples.

All other suggestions are welcome

I was thinking of trying to get something like this going just today. I would love to hear what people can do, all starting with the same tracks.
 
ok, this is gonna be fun. 2 small points...

1) Make sure all the tracks start from the same place...that way they can be pulled into any program and syncd easily

2) name the tracks, or if the tracks are titled 01, 02, 03 etc...provide a list with what tracs are what...say track01 - Kick, track 02 - snare...you get the idea

and properly consolidated to sync up.
and are uploading right now!

I should probably have added to put all the seperate tracks in a zip file for easy download.....too late?

i tried that once a it corrupted on the files.

I'm tired of mixing my own stuff... it all ends up sounding similar...
Will you be posting a link, or should I PM you??
(If I don't see a link in a day or so, I'll PM...)

Great idea... Gives us a chance to focus on mixing, not being so "into the notes"!!
