How 2 b #1 on Soundclick????

i was just wonderin if anyone new how i can get people to listen 2 my songs, any other sites anyone knows? i get like 40 people a day 2 listen to my songs but i want at least 100. So if anyone has any ideas, hit me back. OH YEAH! couple new joints by Sicc Rydas on soundclick, Peep!

I've been #1 on soundclick plenty of times. It's nothing special, you don't get any awards, and no one pays you for it... So don't fret if you don't achieve it, nor should you set that as a goal.

The #1 key to getting that spot, is to make good music.

im not tryin to sound like im betta then everyone, but i have heard people in #1 spots and some songs r tight, but others r kind of corny and shitty recordin. i know i dont get money and awards, it just would feel sooo good, ya know. I mean you've been #1 a few times like u said POETS u must know how it feels. But thanks 4 the advice.
 
most of them spam the hell out of boards and peoples message board..its all about how many boards you can sign up to and get people to listen..but im happy with the little hits i get cause i know im gettin them cause im makin quality orginial beats and its what i like..
 
Yup, most people do that. It's pathetic, because most people are scared to let the music speak for itself...

yep, and i cant stan spam-ers i will not visit you site if you just hittin the message board to get me to visit your sitw without review my music 1st..thats how it works..and thats networkin..cause you can collab with people that visit so site and they like ur music..

yeah I notice alot of ppl do that with there music,go to alot of sites and literally beg ppl to go check them out.But if ur music is good then ppl will come,I have only come here and one other board talking about my music.Cause I really don't brag or try to show it off,mostly use the net as another way to play it to ppl.But its good though that u wanna reach #1 just for the hell of it

O yeah bknot,I checked out ur boss recordings and its hot man.

Hey, DMA.

I look for threads relevant to my song, like about the equipment I used, or technique, then I say, "I used the Eugenius Turbo Audiophiler for the harpsichord in the song in my signature line". I try to be honestly offering helpful advice, and then I get the joy of knowing somebody listened to my music. I've only gotten up to #2 in the Folk Rock genre, which probably isn't saying much.

O yeah my bad for getting off topic but has anyone had trouble lately with getting to their band amind. on soundclick.Cause everytime I try it says page not found,I got some new ish.. tho post.

Interesting, I didnt know the charts were compiled purely on hits? I thought there was some sort of rating method!! That means that there is infact 'no talent' required whatsoever. You could record the sound of your own ass and get it to number one if you direct enough people to the link???? what a loada sh!t...

Does anyone know of any similar sites but that have a rating system?

How did you think they'd be rated? How would you propose to rate the music? Most charts in the commercial world are about units sold. Do you think "Walk Like an Egyptian" or "Macerana" are great musical achievements? Just wondering...

Yep, it seems like that is the way people do it. I pisses me off. I will get a message and then see the exact same message on another board. It's really bad when they tell you your music has great production, great lyrics etc, when they don't even listen. I think other people just tell their entire group of friends or something. I'm just happy with my decent amount of hits.
 
well . . . NO ONE gets anywhere just off of talent. there is promotions to be done for everyone.

u can call it dickrydin, beggin, or whatever. but whether you have music online or in a store . . . the "market" doesnt just open up and say "lets all listen to X" some how or another someone is promoting your music.

word of mouth = promotions. someone saying, "i heard song x and like it. lyou should listen"

spamming = listen to this.

i dotn like spamming. but hell, promotions is promotions. i would never spam myself. and i wont really listen to shit b/c it is being spammed. but there are people who will -- thats why spammers will always continue to spam. they r gettin some "response" from tlheir efforts.

hittin up message boards is the same as goin up n down the street passin out cds
 
I figure for hardly no word of mouth and little advertisement, I'm straight with where my beats rank. It's not about the ranks because most of it are remixes and commercially released songs that shouldn't be on soundclick anyway going by their terms.
 
true...damn you dug this one up..LOL..everyone has to promote the way they can..but if you look at the charts and listen to some of the songs..and you know good and well the song you have is killin the so called top 50..but your song isnt there..message board is good but dont lie to people to get them to come check out your music...I look at my stats every morning..its good number for me for not havin to spam folks board to "come check out my music" if you do you do if you dont someone else will..

i got off from whats i was talkin about the top 50..most of the damn song on there are song were here day 2 day on the radio..but it makes the top of the charts..when you have Change, Red Cross, Fieva, Gully and other hot artist that should be up in the charts it doesnt happend..


but on the real if you want to be in the charts..pay the money to be featured for a day..the more hits you get the more plays and it will move you up on the charts..this is a good topic but we all know the truth..its all about the spamming
