Heck yeah!! You nailed it!!!!! I love the guitars!

Thanks, Steve. I like the new mix quite a bit better as well. I've gotta remember that these ribbon mics tend to pick up alot of mid-lows, that I need to get under control. Thanks again.

Yeah, I like the new mix better myself. The whole mix sounds a little lighter, but in exchange, there is greater clarity in the lows.

I do like the sound of the new kit (forgot you'd got one - oops!), and like it better on this mix. I just liked the sound of the old one a lot. I will adjust ;).

Thanks for your support in the contest and of course for your help with that tune. I still hear different little things that you added each time I listen. You currently represent 20% of my votes! :o :D

Hehe... I was just givin' ya a hard time, Pete. You're a good sport. The new drum sound couldn't be more different than it is. I'd still be getting used to it, too, if I wasn't in love with it... ;-) Your honesty is always preferred, dude. Thanks for keepin' it real.

Ok dude, I got two blisters for you! Yea, it's been awhile since I picked up my guitar, with the minutia of the CD getting out and a new drum set in the house, well, it's been a few months...:o
Anyway, I got some stuff comin' your way :D

Oh, man... That's serious dedication! Glad I was the one who made ya pick your axe back up. So... Drums, eh'? When do we get to hear them in action?

Thanks for the solo, Brad, and wow - you're fast. Gettin' solos from you is like Christmas morning, but I don't have to wait for it! In case ya didn't notice, I've got your solos mixed in now - updated OP.

Cool song. I like tunes that start right in your face. It sounded like a Poetic Intensity tribute to GregL. for a while there. :laughings:

I listened to the "updated" version. I still think you can bring the vocals up quite a bit. Right now, they're there, but they're just part of the mix. If that's what you intended, then it's cool. But they're not as "in your face" as everything else.

Drums sound good. I don't care for the slow part and the speed up., but kudos on doing something un-expected...maybe it just needs a smoother transition.

Like I said, it's a cool tune.

Thanks for the comment, RAMI. New version posted with Brad's solos in there. I'd be interested in your opinion of it now. Slowing the thing down and speeding it up probably wasn't the best decision, but it is what it is, and I learned a lot doing it. Thanks again for the comment.

I liked the tune right off, and the guitar solos really kicked it up

Thanks! I think the same thing about the solos. I love em'!

The solos were fun to do and your editing was very well thought out (I shoulda thought of that). My drums, well, I don't think we'll be hearing them here any time soon. For now, I'm working basics, click, etc and using them to entice my kids off of video games.
Your song sounds great (I'm glad you chose the 'Satch' lead), I love the energy you created between the drums and rhythm guitars - very cool.
You know you can hit me up anytime for guitar work,
Brad :)

Yeah, Brad. The more I listen to this, the more I think you just flat-out nailed it. Great job!

Sorry I didn't notice this until now. Listened to the last mix. Liked the filename: ...Final2.mp3 :)

I liked the drums - great snare sound. Kick seems to have a little clickiness to it though - like a noisy pedal. Loved the lead guitar solo - both the playing and tone.

I liked the rhythm guitar sounds. But I'd like just a little more sizzle - like at around 4K maybe. just a personal preference.

I think the vocals need to be a couple of dbs louder - or everything else a couple quieter. Especially in the chorus. The "gonna break's" are being yelled - but it sounds like they're being yelled from behind the drums if you know what I mean.

Small complaints all. Nice job.

A little too much air around the kick drum, but I love how raw the rest of the drums sound. Vocals are really unique and I love the middle 8 where you slowed everything down. Very balanced track!

Ah, just noticing this has the solos now. Well played sir.

I wasn't so on board with the screaming leads idea initially, but Brad did a very good job and I do think it kinda fits now that I've heard it.

I agree with Trip that your vocals could come a bit. Sounding good!

excellent..nothing on the mix, no speakers...but that sounded really good J...great solo Brad really added to it (Ive got to pinch a solo of you)

you two need to get a couple of tracks up on arcadekos internet radio station as I want to hear your tunes in amongst the others :)

Heh... Yeah.. "Final2"... I've got all the way up to "Final10", and that came after the "rough" mixes got too high. Ahhh whatever. As long as it keeps improving. Good call on the vocals. The clickiness of the kick definitely isn't coming from pedals. I'm 90% sure it's mic placement. 2 or 3 other recordings have the same problem, and when I moved my kick mic, the boom came back, so I might be tempted to re-record the drums for this one. Gotta consider raising the vocals, too, but man.. The louder they are, the worse they sound... hehe...

Thanks for the comments, Triple!

Thanks, dude. Having too much air around a kick is a pretty good problem to have, but I hear ya. I think I found the problem, and have fixed it. Unfortunately, I'll probably have to re-track the drums to fix it. Thanks for the kudos, man.

Thanks, Pete! Gah... Don't know if I can handle the vocals any louder. Personally, I hate em'. I think they're almost too loud as it is.

Hmm... radio station? I might have to consider that. Always glad to hear your comments, Keith. When do we get to buy your album of electronic goodness?

Oh man, I'm so late here.....
This is a great raw, rockin' tune, Jason!
The only nit I could have would be the guitar sound. It's a bit too scooped for me, I would push those mids up more to give it body. But....still a great tune and Brad's solo is hot!!
