One Hit Wonder
I want to post an .mp3 on a web site so it can be downloaded and listened to.'

Don't suggest Nowhere Radio, as the song is a cover song and NWR doesn't allow the posting of cover songs.

Therefore, what I am thinking about is simply posting the mp3 on a personal web page on AOL (or Angelfire or something similar). However, will that work, or does the site have to be an FTP site.

I'd appreciate your advice. If it can be done, let me know what, if any, special steps I need to take.

TIA

I have heard of people using Angelfire, but haven't checked into it yet. I would be interested in finding out too as I have a few covers I have recorded over the years just for fun (just me & the guitar).

You can post on NWR if you have the legal right to do so. i.e., proof of performance rights.

It's the same on ANY host on the internet, unless they themselves don't obey the law!

It's cheap to get blanket licenses guys, if you do alot of covers, it's worth it!
