Other than the AC power supply as opposed to the computer supply, what are the differences? Is there any performance difference?

Assuming your talking about an audio interface, hosted means its connected to a computer and standalone means it isn't. SO if your connected to a pc it should always be hosted.

Well that is basically what I said. I was asking if any performance difference is present but I guess not.
