I have Hosa cables in my studio. I do not plug and unplug them nor do they or the equipment move about. The question for me, or rather for you is, will better cables make a sound quality difference. I cannot really see how but I have an open mind.

The difference between cheap and hi-quality cables sometimes only becomes obvious after a few years when the cheap cables start to oxidize.

Wiggle the cables. If you don't hear any crackling or shorts then you are probably ok. If you don't have any weird hums or buzzes then you are probably ok. It amazes me sometimes how a brand new cheapie cable can start shorting at the jack right out of the package.

yeah, i have 1/4inch cables i use from sound card to mixer, had em for a few months now, they sound alright, i did that thing twistin the plugs, they didnt seem to crackle, although once

i dunno how good these are compared to monsters or some 2 -3 x the price... and i cant a/b compare em so thats my experience...

i need to buy another pair for my monitors, thinkin of goin with these int he meantime cuz the monitors set me back more than i thought they would heheh

Cables can make a big difference, although I think the difference is more a cumulative thing. In other words, the more cables you have, the better they should be.

Also, I think keeping cable runs as short as possible is important. That is, without stretching the cables or putting strain on them.
