It appears that the CPort from Hoontech is no longer available in the US. First -- is this the case?
Second, if it is not (well even if it is)... I'm going to be putting together a small studio to record a radio show that will include live interviews as well as some in-studio performances and want to put something together like what I have at home.
Current home setup --> Hoontech CPort breakout box with their twin-port PCI card (8 analog ins/outs, 2 mic ins with phantom power, 2 midi in/out/thru, 1 spdif digital in/out) running thru a PC with about 1/2 gig ram using Sonar. For the new setup I'm going to put a mixer out in front and use some monitors for playback.
What can I get with similar physical capabilities -- I'm a PC guy because I've been using/working with them for over 20 years, but that's not to say that I'm completely wed to it.
