ATTN ALL MIDI GURU's... Ok.. this may be a real newbie question.. but when it comes to MIDI I'm lost! What I'm trying to accomplish is recording the audio tracks seperately off the MPC into cubase without losing sync. I figure the only way to do this is by using the Midi Controller from either the MPC or Cubase to set the other off at the exact same time for each track.. BUT HOW? Do I use Midi Time Code.. do I use the MPC's MMC whatever that is? I tried all types of settings and it just doesn't seem to be communicating at all.
I know how to setup cubase using my Aardvark breakout box to record 4 sounds simultaneosly from the MPC. But the problem is lining up the next 4.. or even more sounds afterwards. It never seems to sync up exactly regardless of how much I play with the tracks to try and line them up. Anyways if anyone has any suggestions on how to track beats from the MPC accurately PLEASE let me know.. thanks!
