Hi guys, I've got a question in regards to hooking up a DBX 163X compressor....

This is on a PC based system, so I'm not sure where to go with it. I'll be using a VTB1 preamp, and it looks like I can run it in a loop off of it. Is this the best way to do it, or should it just be inline like: mic, preamp, compressor, delta 1010, pc??

Thanks,
Rick

i use a dbx 163x too

i go direct from the line-out of the dbx to the line-in input of my emu-0404 interface. i plug a guitar or mic into the hi-Z input on the front. there might be some kind of preamp built in. i'm sure the proper way would be mic->preamp-> line-in on the back.
it seems to work fine but i don't really know what i'm doing so let's hope somebody more knowlegeable responds. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
