I have never heard the original, but thought that this was pleasant nonetheless. Nice and gluey, gelled together in an old-school kind of way. The only constructive criticism I would offer is that you might want to raise the vocal track a couple db between 0:35 and 1:00, as it seems to be lower (ever so slightly) than at other times in the song.

Good job and cheers,

Very nice rendition-I bet McCartney would be proud of you're effort. You captured that vaudeville feeling very well-the ukuleles sure sound fine in there-but they are really a bit too loud. I would drop the volume and move them back a bit in the mix.
When the guitar solo comes it, the first few notes are louder than the rest-I'd drop their level to match the rest of the guitar part.
Great sound overall though.:)

i completely agree with anfontan, and i'd also like to hear a bit more bass. i really had to squint to hear it, and i'm actually having a hard time discerning whether it's an upright bass, a bass guitar, or even the bass clef of the piano track. if i had to guess i'd vote upright, but it could just be my far-from-golden ears... :o

tracking is very clean and sounds great. you also do a nice mccartney voice.

i enjoyed listening to it enough to give it a few spins. :)

Boy, that takes me back. Really nice cover. Can't really add to what the others have suggested. Great job.

Thanks to all of you. i wasn't really trying to do a "mccartney voice". I guess I just listen to them so much it just sounded that way. i will try some of the suggestions and toos the mix back at you. The low voice you speak os is really more of a background thing I did running it through a vinyl program. And it was a squier electric bass.

Yep - great version... The vocals could be a smidge louder I agree... Minor really - good stuff!
