What type of interface do I need from my PC to my synth & drum machine? (besides my sound card)... Do I need to get a mixer board or something? And if so, how would Sonar recognize which input I'm recording?

Actually, after shopping around... I found the Audiotrak MAYA 1010 PCI card. I believe this should handle all of my inputs! Anybody have any good/bad reviews on this one?
I guess my next question is... do I really need a mixer. (The sound card has a break out box to handle the inputs). Will I be able to adjust all of my input levels using Sonar 4?

Depending on the MIDI connectors on the soundcard, you may need a MIDI KIT
This connects to the Game / MIDI Port and provides the MIDI In and MIDI OUT connects to connect to synth and drum machine.
They are roughly $20. It looks something like a Y cable ( see link ) http://www.kinneticfx.com/korgmt/images/cable.gif

1010 card and the box are a good setup, but if your using a condensor mic to record vocals you might wanna check and see if the box has phantom power, some do some dont
