Hey, my friend has a recording studio and he uses Cakewalk Home Studio. My band wants to record a demo cd, by recording the drums at our friends house and then everything else at mine. Could we record the drums at the studio (for better quality), save the tracks to a cd or disk or something, and then run it in my Cakewalk Guitar Tracks Pro? Would this work? Thanks

Yes. The only issue with back-and-forthing might be if one of those apps has a maximum track limit and your file has more tracks than that.

I don't know for sure if GT can open up files created in HS - it's certainly a possibility, I just don't know for sure.

However, at a minimum, you should be able to export wave files from HS and import them into GT.

So, yes, it can be done. Suggest you include a click intro on each track to insure you can align them accurately.
