Ok, I posted here a while ago and got some very good responses, but I have re-evaluated what I want to do musically and I think have to start from scratch with my recording requirements.
I play two types of music regularly. The studio will primarily be used for me to record, well, myself playing each individual instrument (vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keyboard). I play Brit-Rock/Britpop type music (The Who, Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene, etc). But I also need to have the flexibility to record demos for the group I play with which consists of two guitars, bass, drums, and 4 channels of vocals. We play modern rock type stuff (Collective Soul).
Now here is where I need your help, what is the best way for getting the music from point A (my brain) to point B (speakers)? I was considering using an Aardvark Q10 for this project, but I'm no longer sure. I'd like to have some direct control (ie mixing console) over the mixing process, but I'm flexible.
Any information that you can give me would be great.
Oh yeah, as I currently have NO money, my budget is flexible. It is going to be a save up, get a part, save up, etc., type of process.
Thanks a lot, please let me know if you have any other questions.
