Can you recommend a good and recent book for Home Studio recording for a
musician wishing to record guitar and vocals?

I am very computer savy, but not so sound savy and the PC is the center of
my recording universe. And looking for a book thats is PC centric and
up-to-date.

There are a ton of books come up with Amazon search and have 5 star ratings
so hard to pick that way.

There is a 2003 version of Idiots Guide to Home Recording that has 3 5-star
reviews but im not sure if these are too beginner.

Any suggestions on a ref/tutorial book to help narrow down the list of
choices?

thank you

I've seen that Idiot's Guide book recommended a few times here, though I haven't seen it myself.
