Solar Power!!
Yup - I've finally come back to the normal world - ?? - well what's known as normal.
We had a fantastic trip and I'm now a professional open fire chef!!
We travelled over 12,000 miles in total. whew!!

I haven't organised a new server for my site yet but hope to have it up soon.
Glad to hear you finished school Brian and congrats on graduating :) Now you get back into that studio and finish it and I'll get the site happening again.

Today I had my dream of turning the WTC into a memorial to the end of using violence to solve problems shattered........tough!! Ah well - that's life. When I left I said the world was going to get hairy.

Anyway It's nice to be home again at HR...I missed you all and I did think of you while I stared at my fires in the middle of the Outback.

I met a genuine Aboriginal shaman (or cleverman as they call them) who changed all my perceptions regarding spirituality and the power of the human mind.

glad to be home

cheers
John

Welcome back John!

It's going to take you another couple of months just to catch up on all the posts you've missed!!!

:)

Cheers..

Bruce

BTW - here's a map of where we travelled. :)

cheers
John

Ive tried to answer some of the studio construction questions since youv'e been gone but it seems they have all fallen apart.....
Nobody was hurt though..........

Welcome back !

First Brian returns then John.............there must be some hidden meaning in that...........lol. Anyways it's a good sign for HR.

Welcome back John, I envy you your trip........we thought we would be in Nth Qld by now and ready to head back south but things just didn't work out that way, (still here in NSW).

Peace.........ChrisO

Well - some things never change - newbies still don't understand the SEARCH function, so post counts add up quickly answering the same freakin' questions over and over and over again!!! ;)

:D :D

A very warm "Welcome Back!" to you sir. Glad to see your trip was a success and that you felt like returning to us here at HR.com as well!

H2H

Glad to see you back in one piece. (You are i one piece, right?). Now I can finally start planning my studio again.

Cheers

/Ola

welcome back, John ... you've been missed around here...

I'd like to hear more of your lessons learned from the shaman when you get the chance. That's interesting stuff.

Thanks guys...I've now got a new server so there's a new homepage e-mail address etc etc.

Special thanks to Ola for holding the fort:)

BigK - Margaret was told that the aboriginals could project their faces into each others fires as a message system and the spirits of ancestors used to also do it. One night she saw a face in the fire and asked somone the next day about it and was told it was an ancestor by the description. Well I was pretty nonplused yet a few nights later I definitely saw a face clear as a bell. I took note of all the features especially the bump on the forehead and a small scar on the right side of the mouth sortta under the grey beard. The next day I asked the old sharman (Ginga) who it was not mentioning the features. "That was me John" he replied with a smile. "But you don't have a bump on your head" I said "wanna bet take a look above my hairline" he replied and "by the way the scar on my mouth is where I was bitten by a dog"...shit I hadn't mentioned that!!!!!

The funny thing about is was that he was a total drunk! He would start drinking when he awoke (Moselle wine from a cask) and would drink till he went to sleep. So much for the health and cleansing stuff to reach spirituality levels etcetc. He astral travelled freely as well. He healed people using a sort of philipino technique and the local hospital wanted him to work with them cos they saw him heal one of their patients and were totally amazed but he didn't like the hospital and wouldn't be a part of it.

OK guys I'm open for emails and requests as I've got unlimited download and time... YO!! No cable yet unfortunately.

cheers
John

Ok, this is weird!

Ok, this is really weird that John and I came back at the same time! I finished my school as he finished his trip... He pretty much started his trip as I started school... weird!!!!!!!

We're BACK! :D

On behalf of all the newbies here I would like to welcome both of you back...
even though a month ago I had no idea who either of you were :)I’m sure that in
the coming months I will be relying on both of you, Sjoko, Ausrock and all the
rest for ideas and insights that I can somehow manage to screw up in execution.

Cheers!
Kevin.

(Besides gratuitous postings are a great way to increase my post count! :) :) )

Great

longsoughtfor,

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm sure we'll be replying to each other's posts in the future. Good to have you with us.

Dig it! Welcome back, guys! Seems like everybody took a bit of a hiatus for a while... (something about Summer? hm...)

Here's a quick catch-up:

S8-N's still having problems with his car/truck. Slackmaster's still having problems with the comp CD (due soon). Monty's still having problems posting music, as is Mr.Q, who recently discovered how much he hates Afghanistan. Doc's keyboard had the "c" key replaced with a "k", and while we're on the subject of "k", DavidK is considering playing in the Malaysian Orchestra. Asi9 fell in love, Riley's finding that distance makes the heart grow fonder while C7's off in New England, and Dragonwerk's cat died. Meshuggah is making awesome music (so is Slack, btw), Camn has moved and is staying busy, and Rats is still just sub-genius (;)). Kristian's back in Austin from England, and Gidge is... uh, Gidge, WTF ARE you doing nowadays? Sjoko's lurking around here somewhere, as is Beelezbub and Treeline. I've become a cave-dweller since my already-crappy soundcard decided not to digitize.

Lessee... You went out on a life-changing journey with a beautiful woman and your trusty dog, returning to a freshly-built studio with wonderous tales of alligators and out-of-body experiences.

Sheeeeeeit, you missed it. :D

I went outside for a smoke, realized I forgot about EIGHT MILLION OTHER RECCER'S.

They all went out and got drunk. Roel drove and Ed made hangover-biscuits in the morning. Mum's the word on what happened in the meantime...

:D
