It's "cool" until you own one and spend the first week trying to get anything creative done in the midst of those manual sel-sync switches. While the 70 series deserves it's place as the first stab at the half-everything format, it was full of problem areas ..which Teac wisely listened to and implemented changes into the next animal, the 80-8.

The 80-8 had it's own share of shortcomings, but it at least created a workable solution to the impossibilities of the 70 (particularly that sel-sync setup).

I REALLY like the way that guy wrote the ad. He's obviously followed some of the better books on adwriting. That's no slam..it's always more interesting to me when folks use that adwriting style. Plus..those treatments tend to get results.

Good reply BRDTS.

If you thought the original ad was good then take a look at his "revised" description. It's enough to shit one's pants!

He's getting info (and price) from a 1974 catalog ad (but he doesn't clue the potential buyer on it).

Sounds more like a late night money making infomercial than anything else.
