hollow sounding vocals

When we record vocals they sound hollow. Adding compression and reverb helps some, but they still don't sound "right". I would appreciate any suggestions.

I'm guessing here but it sounds like you might be too far from the mic and you're picking up too much of the room. If you want an intimate warm sound you might want to be closer to the mic. Watch out for siblance though (that sizzle from words with sss soundds and "P" pops).

compression, reverb, delay....most importantly...CHORUS. we out.

I have added delay before, but never chorus. Thanks for the suggestion
