hissing sound when lowering the pitch in adobe 1.5

i dont know whats going wrong...

i did a "chop n screw" type hook not too long ago and it was fine.. no hissing, but now i did it and its real hissy.. i found the hiss remover but when i do that it takes away from my voice

is there anything im doing wrong or can do to get this to work again?

is my mic going bad

if the hiss is comming in only after you add your effect, then its not the mic.
