All,
I've been building my new DAW and just got a set of Eris 4.5's but there is a hissing sound when I connect both the headphone jack on my iMac to the Aux-in on 4.5's AND I've got the 4.5's balanced jacks connected to my Scarlett 2i4's balanced jacks (doesn't matter if I use the unbalanced RCA's instead btw).
So whenever I watch a youtube video for example, there's a nasty hiss/static noise. It's even more pronounced when I use the scroll wheel on my mouse.
Anyhow, as long as I don't have BOTH connected, everything sounds nice and clean.
I've tried connecting the 4.5's into other outlets in the room but that didn't resolve the problem. Also, my studio is up in the attic and everything there is on the same circuit so not sure if that's even a viable option to try.
btw that my 4.5's are seated immediately to the left and right of my LCD monitor. Not sure if that's a problem or not.
Any feedback/suggestions welcomed.
Thanks,
