Hiss from PS6 speakers?

My new PS6s arrived a couple of days backs and I've been testing em out. One constant cause of consternation is this very low level hiss (still audible though) that seems to eminate from the speakers once they are turned on, even with nothing plugged into them. You can't hear it once the music's blasting away though, but it still bugs the hell out of me. Any other PS6 owners noticed this? Or have I (gulp) a pair of defective speakers? Help much appreciated, thanks!

I have the PS6s - no hiss that I can hear (although a very slight amount would be normal), you may have a ground loop issue (but you'd be getting a 60Hz hum as well...)
