Hey all,

I've been playing around with my new condenser (CM90), and although I'm amazed with the sound quality, this microphone produces an awfull hiss that doesn't seem to be environmentally oriented. I never had any similar problem with my old dynamic mics. Any ideas regarding what can it be, or how to get rid of it?

Thanks,

Oren

Im thinking about buying two of these for a different color in my studio for a really low cost? The hiss could be coming from your preamp or phantom power. Maybe there is a place for you to try it on a different system (maybe). How does it sound for drum overhead and what do you use for the mount (does a normal 58 clip work??).

Hi Darnolnd.

I've checked the mic with a different mixer, and the was still there. In fact, it is so bad, I find it completely useless. The same league as my first 10$ "Jin-Que" microphone.
Since, I don't use it, I have no idea how it sounds for drum overhead.
The SM-58 clip doesn't fit it, but it comes with it's own clip.
If you're planning to buy one, make sure you check it in the store, or at least make sure that you live in place wich the Nady Wireless company recognizes. The actually refered my to their importer in Syria, no less. :)

Best of luck,

Oren
