can someone give me like a tutorial or some sort of idea or direction lol, i dont think the way im doing it makes it sound professional, im using a vaio laptop, fast track pro, at2020 studio condensor, recording in my room. basically now ive been recording, doubling my vocals, emphasis as in the end part of my verses, and adlibs. i am recording all this in mono. As far as effects i use center wave, kill the mic rumble, spit clear, real audio compander, waves desesser, veryfast attack, direct x microphone modelator, reverb(tight and close), waves q10 paragraphic eq. then i mixdown the vocal recordings in stereo, then i open it in adobe audition and master it with izotope 4. then mix it down in stereo. can someone give me their opinion, or someway they do it better?

u have alot of chains in your fx ahy so many? adobe has a good d'esser in the fft filters

all you really need for rap vocals are in this order

eq
compression
reverb
delay

and you should be ok with that

get to know what these things do and you should be ok
