I realllllyy like that acoustic guitar sound man !!

Turn up the vox do a little more reverb and compression on them and this will be perfect in my opinion.



what did you use to record?
 
this was recorded in sonar....
a maudio 24/96 card is the interface...

taylor 414 acoustic, ADK Hamburg mic, A Designs Audio MP-1 mic pre, dbx compressor, ART DPS convertor, Carvin LB70 bass thru a sansamp bass di, AT4033 on the vox, same mic pre and compressor, congas and maracas.
and a creaky studio chair.

My only nit with this song is at the very start in the intro the accoustics could be tighter together in one of the strums. Everything else sounds fabulous. Cool riffs. A friend of mine just sold his Taylor - he'd be sick of he heard this. Great vocals too. I really like this one

no intro count off, i was guessing at where it'd come in!

no shite, i'd sit there and hit record a half dozen times before i even got that close!

oh well.....
it was an impromptu session anyway, most of this i wrote on the spot, as i recorded it..

i did the first rhythm track right after i had even worked the riff up...
then i had to go back and learn what i had done, just to add the 2nd rhythm track.....

so, in some cases, they just do different things.

yeah, it was SUPPOSED to be that way, sure it was!

Nice acoustic playing.

The vocals remind me a bit of Perry Farrell.

the perry farrell thing, i've heard that before, on other tunes...

maybe i should just call up HBO and see if they need a new opening number for 'Entourage'?!

figured out how to do the backwards-fade-in vocal effect on the first line...

i also added shaker throughout, mixed it in and out of where the congas and maracas don't play...

don't know if it's worth re-posting for that tho....

but it's different now.
