High School Band and Chior need donated equipment and instruments

Hello all! I am a dedicated band and chior mom.My child attends a very small South New Jersey High School located in Woodstown NJ.The school has approx. 1000 students and their music and chior department is a main activity and keeps alot of children active and able to explore thier music talent.However the public school system in New Jersey had a very big cut in funds and the music deptpartment as many of other departments funding were cut.Teh kids have a wish list of items that would be a great help to continue thier chior and band programs.They are asking for 60 or more wooden coat hangers for robes and gowns,1 GB Ram cards compatible with Dell GX280 and GX270,carpet for an area of 8x10,any type of instrument,folding music stands and regular music stands,Piano Bench,Head Phones,Microphones,Keyboard something like the Kurzweil PC88.These kids are a great bunch of kids and deserve the very best it would be wonderful to show them how great they are.

Have you tried registering with DonorsChoose.com?

My wife and I buy books from Borders often and we get $15 vouchers that we can donate to certain causes within the DonorChoose scheme...I give mine to a school in Massachusetts for musical instruments, it might be worth looking into.


Also do you have an address where folks can send stuff? I think Ive got a pair of headphones or a mic spare

It's spelled "choir".

Sounds like the New Jersey school system is cutting more than just the music program.
