High-End Converters

People,

Would like to upgrade to a high-end, studio quality AD/DA converter, along the lines of Apogee, Prism, etc.

My studio is largely PC based, though...& so I would need something that is not only in the form of a dedicated I/O, but also in the form of a PCI Interface.

Is there anything out there that fits that bill?

Radar (www.izcorp.com) with Nyquist convertors. This will get you a nice preconfigured PC with BeOS on it and the best AD/DA around.

I'll second that. It depends on how many channels you need though. If you are looking for 24 channels it's hard to beat the Radar Nyquist convertors. You can get 24ch analog and 24ch digital i/o for $8500 with a free recorder to boot.

If you are just looking for 2 channels than obviously that would be overkill.
