in sonar 1, i could hide/unhide tracks.

i hid some tracks before going to sonar2, and now i can't unhide them. where's the track view widget to select which tracks to display?

I didnt know you could do that in the track view..I still have 1.3 loaded will look and see if I have the same problem..

I am happy to report that this is the first time that I have done a upgrade with Cake and not have to depend heavily on the previous version..:)

By the way, I have downloaded your songs, and you get a three thumbs up ! I will comment here if you dont mind..

I thought the arrangements were absolutely great..loaded with originality..

For the mix, I would like to just make a few suggestions..

FIrst of all you did an excellent job of doing a relatively flat mix which would be what you would be shooting for most genres of music..

But for hip hop ..the mix is part of the expression of the music..that being said I would like to have that lead vocal lifted up a bit and brightened up some..bring down the keys and the synth fills ..like I said I like what theyre doing but they are overiding the what I would consider the main elements...lead vocal, the kick, and the snare..they sound o k sonicly ..just need to come up in my opinion

I liked the groove to drink holders over the other two..

Very Inspiring stuff, and I actually think you aught to try and do it yourself as an independent rather than sell it...be a bulldog and go for it...its good enough to qualify for reference material too..

Best of luck!!!!!

thanks that worked! then, i figured out that you can get the track manager to come up by pressing the pull-down next to the zoom icon.

thanks, i'm glad you like the songs. you are echoing some very positive feedback that i have gotten from some of my local colleagues and DJ's. they also think that the vocals and percussion should come up. we are very close to getting spins for a DC go-go song called 'ghetto clique'. go-go is indigenous to the local DC area, and as such has a greater chance of radio play. we are going to put drink holders (which is straight hip-hop) on a maxi-single with ghetto clique to get the buzz going.

I'll post ghetto clique in a couple of days. DC go-go is a combination of hip-hop and latin/caribbean music.
