Hi, I'm not sure if this mixing board is too limited to do what I want. I'm on a pretty limited budget.
Is there a way to separate the channels so that I can monitor audio out of my soundcard mixed with my input from instruments without both the soundcard output AND the instrument being sent back to my soundcard input?
Once, I had a mixing board that could send one channel to the headphones exclusively so that I could listen to the previous track without mixing it back to the main outs. When I listen to the previous tracks directly from the soundcard, there is too much latency. The way it is now, I cannot keep the tracks separate, because what I'm monitoring gets mixed right back into the input of the soundcard. I hope that makes sense.
I also have a MOTU 828 which I have not started using. I use a PC, windows 7 and have access to a few different DAW softwares. I really am just getting started here and want very much to multitrack.
