My hi hats sound too....low fi.

I have actually found the perfect git tones for what I want, but it is lacking crucial hi end that gives it that crisp sound. I know that the hi hats are the problem. When I EQ it it just sounds over proccessed.

Any way to fix this and have it sound more organic. I also have the cymbals panned a lil to the right with kick, snare, toms dead center.

WC... the 1st rule of recording: if it doesn't sound good in front of the mic, it's going to sound even worse AFTER the mic.

If your hi-hats are the problem then the solution is to change them..........

Once again the man is right!!!

Nothing more real than that...
you can't make a wall sing, no matter how much EQ you use...

Peace.

wellllll....if that isn't a bit of *sheltered* information. Take a walk thru the projects, and if you can't hear the walls *singing* for all the over-hyped bass EQ happnin', then bro, waz be yur name??

I love that!! I will use that!!!

You probably need a better mic and preamp. You cant add high end with EQ. You can only emphasize whats there and that is probably hiss.
