suggest what i do to walk a fineline between
recording soft whisper vocal in the verses and the louder chorus part


For verse i set GINA at 21 arttubepre out at 8,input at8
and sang close to SM58
it seemed fine but for louder chorus
though i backed off from the mic
half a foot i assumed
and reduce GINAto 18
it still got a little boomy fx
what other people do for these 2 different vocalrecording?

I likes this remix better, but I don't know what to tell you besides get a better vocal mic. That's a very tough vocal line to begin with. The effect you're trying to get (varying the vocal input volume from very quiet to very loud while keeping it all up front in the mix) is possible with an SM58, but much easier to pull off with a decent condenser mic. Boomy is the word I'd use to describe your complaint as well.
BTW: I noticed those stereo drum effects.
