I'm a production technician and air personality at a station in Joplin, MO (tornado alley).....where we use Adobe Audition 1.5. Phone calls are recorded into the RIGHT channel, while the personalities voice is recorded into LEFT channel. This allows us to go back and edit them to make them sound perfect on-air, and if we accidentally "walk" on their conversation, we can fix it.

I use the same set up at my home and it works fine.....HOWEVER: I just installed Audition 3.0 and have everything set up identical except it will not let me record exclusively into the left channel!! I have tried everything I can think of and cannot figure out how to make it record solely into either the left or right channel! Even when I highlight that side, it still records into both (and over my phone callers dialogue!)

Could anyone possibly help me with a solution? I have looked everywhere!

I have AA 1.5 as well and I have just spent 10mins or so trying to download a trial of 3.0. No joy, I get taken to an NCH site (WTF I don't know!) and I do want to get embroiled with those again.

Other sites that appear to have AA 3.0 are either cracks or AA CC and I don't want that either!

But, Uncle Bob uses AA 3.0 I am sure he will be along soon.

I've used 1.5 since it came out (Even used CEP before Adobe bought it) and know it inside and out, and have never seen a setting to control this. 3.0 has many automatic crossfade features as well as read/write mixing and I would love to be able to put it to use, but it's out of the question without being able to solve this issue
