Big thanks Dave:)

Now that is pretty. I also have some thinking to do:D

Now does anyone know if the thing has simalsync? or what:confused:

And its only a couple of miles from my inlaws. I can kill two birds with one stone

Kill them all!!!

:eek::eek::eek:;)
Well, you know, it's a 4-tracker with multi-sync capability, but it's of the vintage breed (pre-38) where the sync head & repro heads are specialized and different,... (before they optimised one unified head that would do both equally well).;)

How about that and this Recorder is in the same town that my wife works in.
Just 38 miles down the road.
Now what is the differance in the two machines?

Different amp section, eh?

You could be the biggest 70-4 mogul on the block!:rolleyes:

Dave have you had any dealings with this rig?
And I got the book recording the Beatles this week. Great book well worth the 100.00 bucks it cost.

Wow, $100 !!!

I don't have a Series 70, but the transport and electronics are old school 70s, for sure!;)

Great book well worth the 100.00 bucks it cost.

I bought the book when it was first released. It was signed by the authors. An amazing book indeed and very much unlike anything outthere. I too think it's well worth the 100 bucks.

I'm not sure how helpful this will be, but I found a spec sheet for the 70 series [ courtesy: http://reel2reeltexas.com/vinListT.html ]

... from that same site:
In 1974 the first TASC Series 70 reel-to-reel recorders were shipped to dealers in the United States. Originally manufactured in Japan under the brand name TASC, the recorders were rebranded under the TASCAM name. (The transport for the Series 70 recorders were based on TEAC's A-7030 transport.) There were four 70 series products:

1) 2 track, 1/4 inch master recorder
2) 4 track 1/4 inch reel-to-reel
3) 4 track 1/2 inch reel-to-reel
4) 8 track 1/2 inch reel-to-reel
