If you had to classify these mics (listed below) for primarily a tenor vocal mic use and maybe some acoustic guitar.

what order would you put them in ?

AT 4033
Rode NT1
Rode Nt2
Apex420
Marshall V67G

What do you know about the Apex line ?

what would be your personal preference of the bunch or if you have another in mind?

Thanks in advance

Pier, I'm the wrong guy to ask about those mics, since I really havent heard the NT2 or the Apex 420. Of the 3 I have heard, I would try the V67G first, the 4033 second and the NT1 last. As far as the best mic for YOUR use, it depends on the guitar and the actual sound of your voice. On sessions here, I'll actually use up to 3 different vocal mics on an album, depending on the song and the style.

Acoustic guitars, like vocals, can also be all over the map. The only thing I can get consistant acceptable guitar results with has been the Audix TR-40 omni kida placed over the guitarist's shoulder, but that's not always the BEST sound possible, or the BEST mic to use.

On acoustic guitar over the years, I've had wonderful results from a Shure SM-81, an EV CS15, an Audix TR-40, a Neumann TLM-103, a Marshall 603S, A Marshall V67G, A Shure SM-57, an RCA 77DX ribbon, an AKG C3000, a Beyer 260, an AKG 451, an Altec M-21, a Sony C37 and C38, a Beyer M201, a Soundfield, a Brauner, and a Sennheiser 421, to name just a few of the mics I've tried on specific acoustic guitars.

Sorry I can't be of more help, but I'd really hafta hear you and the guitar to find a specific combination of mics that work best for your voice and your guitar.
