...'cause I can do covers, too. :D

I don't know if this is finished. The Beatles end it with a weird bass and "sleepy" slide thing, which I wasn't going to do. But it sounds incomplete this way, too...So maybe I'll just join it with another song one day.

Anyway, I recorded and mixed this in 2 days, so my ears are probably shot. One listen, I think the vocals are too loud, next listen, I can't hear them. Same with the drums.

So any mix help would be appreciated. Thanx.

Nice work RAMI. The only little nit pick that I could pick out is the hi-hat is a little up front.....to my ears! The guitars sound pretty good, a little more presence maybe???

I love the snare sound RAMI! Good work! :)

nice version of the song Rami :) well done. the vocals sound like they could come up just a bit, but i can hear all the words so maybe not. it's just that sometimes it seems the guitars overpower the voice.

Lol. How can I resist a thread title like this? :D

I don't know the song, but it definitely sounds Beatle-ish. Vocals can come up just a hair, but not much. Maybe, barely, the hats may be too loud. Everything else sounds awesome. I like the abrupt ending. Great job. Sounds very clean and precise. :)

How can you not know this tune. Thats just wrong. :) Rami : Great job !!! Rocked it up !!!!

The only thing I'd suggest is on just 1 longish slide that you pan it across the image.
I like the vocal level.
The ending - I'd cut after glass so that it really hangs.
Is RAMI
Is good!

Hehe...I should have called this thread "Hey Greg and Bushmaster, Fuck you..." Because the Bush man does some awesome covers, too. :D

Thanx for all the tips, guys and/or girls. My ears have adjusted a bit and everyone's comments were right on. I put up a re-mix. Brought up the vocals, brought down the overheads, etc.....(Same link).

Thanx alot!!!

Not familiar with the original so I can't compare in that regard.

I had to pull up Wikipedia to find out who did this - some cool trivia on it although Wiki is not always 100% accurate.

This mix is great as always. Super tight playing and vocals. Nice drums and bass. The slide is more apparent listening to this one and you've got it down. Nice slide tone and intonation. Question - did you buy a new guitar for slide or use an existing and retune it?

Yes, you can do covers very well as shown here and on No More Mr Nice Guy.....

:D:):D:)

Fuck you all!!!!!

Oh, wrong thread....:p

Nice tune man...love the way you got the nasty vocals on that scream...YEAHHHH!!!!!!!.....:D

Wonder how it would sound if you ended it with a long ONIONNNN...type of scream fading?
Dunno....but the mix and all is good as usual....nice sounds and great performance.

Fuck you Rami....:p

Great job...vox level is OK but sometimes guitar sucks all the air out of the mix. Maybe back off a little and pan harder to give up some space. Hard to tell on my PC spkrs tho.

Fuck you very much, Dog. :D :D :D
This is one of my favorite Beatles songs.
Yeah, mine too.
No way - this cannot be regular tuning - not fair! *stomps out*......:D
Is that supposed to be harder??? Don't tell me that. :(

Thanx Chazba...I haven't listened to this in about a week. I'll have to listen with fresh ears again, and probably agree with you. :)

The "WHITE" album was the one i enjoyed discovering most as a kid. There's so much in there - imagine psychotic little me immersed in #9!
Glass onion always stood out - a bit like Savoy Truffle - the surrealist images of the titles do it from the beginning.
Oh, your version you ask?
It's a credit to you.
Slide in standard tuning without any detune effects - WOW.
I can do covers too! Check this out

Interesting take on this. One of my favorites from the album, well done. A bit harder rocking than the original. Nice production values. The only thing I miss is the recorder lick after the fool on the hill lyrics:D Very cool.

Yeah, I totally agree with you on the recorder lick. I tried doing it with vocals, guitar, slide......It's either a recorder or nothing, but I do miss is too.

Thanx alot, David.
