I just picked up the Delta 1010LT, and I'm running in to some stumbling blocks. Audio is going in and coming out just fine. I plug the mic in to it, and I'm getting levels. I just can't record with it. Just about all of my software is giving me compatibility errors. example:

Soundforge: "The PCM In 1/2 Delta-1010LT recording device does not support one or more of the current format parameters (sample rate, number of channels, or bits per sample).

When I change the sample rate to 22,050 hz, then I don't get that error message any more . . . but I hit the record button and basically nothing happens. It says it's recording, but then when I hit the stop button, there's no data, and no recording time actually elapsed. Just about every program I use is doing the same thing (cubase, n-track, vegas, etc.)

I have an AMD Athlon (K7) processor, 650 Mhz, with 128 MB of ram. These more than meet the minimum requirements for the card . . . but I'm wondering if I need to have an Intel (?)

Any ideas as to where my problems might be?

Thanks!

i have an audiophile24/96 gidge helped me with. i still get pops and clicks on playback but otherwise ok. i have 256 megs of memory and i want 512. it's cheap. if i were you i would get as much as you can afford. that's one thing you won't have to worry about. minimum requirements are the "lowest" amount they reccomend.your 650 should do the trick. i had a 700amd and went up to a 1.2ghz. big difference. i call it digital overhead.

i use the audiophile now, and i think i read somewhere that if you set the buffer sample size or what ever in the sound control panel (the m-audio mixer/router software) to above 512, that should fix it...i dunno though

hey, thanks for the info.

On my m-audio controll panel, under hardware settings, there is an option for "dma buffer size" and a drop-down menu that lets you select the amount of latency, with 20 milliseconds being the default setting.

Is this what you're talking about?
